Dr. Clark H. Hansen is a licensed Naturopathic Medical Doctor (N.M.D.) who has been in private practice in Scottsdale, Arizona, for 22 years. He is the President and Medical Director of the Hansen Clinic of Natural Medicine, Aesthetics and Mesotherapy.
Dr. Hansen began seeing patients in 1986 upon graduation from the John Bastyr College of Naturopathic Medicine, in Seattle, Washington. In 1988 Dr. Hansen founded the Arizona Institute of Natural Medicine. In 1992, he helped co-found the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine & Health Sciences, the first 4-year Naturopathic Medical School in the southwest. In 1994, Dr. Hansen created Vital Formulations, Inc., a nutritional and herbal supplement company, in order to make his clinical formulas available to the public through retail stores and doctor’s offices.
Naturopathic Medicine is based on the understanding that the body and nature are the real healers not drugs and surgery. Naturopathic physicians prefer natural, non-invasive treatments, which minimize the risks of harmful side effects. Prescription drugs are rarely needed but may be used for a short time while other safer more natural therapies take effect.
Unlike drugs that merely suppress symptoms and must be taken indefinitely, natural medicines restore vitality and promote true and lasting healing so that the body can once again function independently.

Aesthetics
In 2004, Dr. Hansen traveled to Paris, France, to study Aesthetics and Mesotherapy. Aesthetics or Cosmetic Medicine treats the skin and its collagen and elastin components to enhance or restore the beauty and youthfulness of the individual. Our licensed Aesthetician and Certified Laser Operator, Jennifer Swink, has over seven years experience in medical aesthetics. Her treatments include traditional facials, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, DNA treatments and IPL Photo Facials.
Dr. Hansen performs additional treatments himself, including natural dermal fillers such as Restylane and Radiesse for long lasting wrinkle correction and mesoBotox. Together Dr. Hansen and Jennifer can help you look and feel years younger.
Mesotherapy
Mesotherapy is the practice of injecting small amounts of vitamins and minerals, as well as homeopathic and /or conventional medicines into the mesoderm or middle layer of skin to deliver healing or corrective treatment to a specific area of the body.
Dr. Hansen received his training in Parisfrom Dr. Jacques LeCoz, M.D., the world’s leading authority on Mesotherapy. Mesotherapy is a medical specialty that is used to treat a wide range of disorders, including arthritis, fibromyalgia, muscle spasms, migraines, TMJ, anxiety and tension, digestive and circulatory disorders, as well as cellulite, stubborn fat accumulation, and the aging of the skin and connective tissue. Dr. Hansen also administers I.V. vitamin therapy.
